SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Duke kicked off the first day of competition at the USA Track & Field (USATF) Outdoor Championships at Horent Stadium in Sacramento, Calif.
Graduate student Daniel Golubovic represented the Blue Devils in the decathlon while senior Madeline Kopp competed in the first round of the women's 400m and 800m.
Golubovic concluded the first five events in 13th with 3,788 points and his first day performance was highlighted by two personal-bests.
The Los Angeles, Calif., native kicked off the first day of competition with a personal-best time of 11.
