Blue Devils Blank No. 9 Louisville, 2-0

DURHAM, N.C. – The fifth-ranked Duke University field hockey team collected its first shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory over No. 9 Louisville Friday on a rain-soaked evening at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. The Blue Devils improved to 7-3 overall and 1-2 in ACC play with the win.

“We’ve been playing in this weather every morning and last weekend,” said head coach Pam Bustin. “We’ve become pretty accustomed to the rain. But I’m really proud of how they hung in there and how they were able to take care of the game and take care of the ball and keep it a nice-looking, well-played game.
