DURHAM, N.C. – Duke swimming & diving head coach Dan Colella announced the signing of transfer Brad Sanford on Friday.
Sanford competed two seasons at Michigan State before transferring to join the Duke Blue Devils. He currently ranks fifth all-time at Michigan State in the 100 butterfly (47.58) and sixth all-time in the 50 freestyle (20.28). His 20.63 50 butterfly split was also the second fastest in school history.
"The world class academic and athletic experience was too hard to pass up," Sanford said. "The coaching staff is extremely helpful, and their training philosophies match well with mine.
