ROME, Ga. – The fifth-seeded and 14th-ranked Duke women's tennis team collected a 4-0 victory over 12th-seeded Louisville Thursday morning at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.
Duke improved to 15-5 on the season and will advance to face fourth-seeded and 13th-ranked Virginia (13-5) on Friday, April 23 at 9 a.m., in the quarterfinals.
The Blue Devils once again got off to a good start in doubles and would go on to take the crucial point to take a 1-0 lead.
On court two, Duke's ninth-ranked tandem of Chloe Beck and Karolina Berankova jumped out to a 4-0 lead and would go on to win, 6-3, over Chelsea Sawyer and Raven Neely.
