DURHAM – Duke baseball's 2023 Fall World Series went the distance on Saturday afternoon, as the Black Team, captained by senior catcher Alex Stone and junior right-handed pitcher David Boisvert, took home championship with a 3-0 victory.
In game one on Thursday, the Black Team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to a Chad Knight two-run home run and a Wallace Clark triple in the sixth. Graduate right-handed pitcher Jackson Emus tossed a gem for the Black Team, working six innings and punching out 12 batters.
