DURHAM – Duke men's soccer forward Ulfur Bjornsson has earned National Team of the Week honors from College Soccer News, the organization announced. Bjornsson, a freshman forward for the Blue Devils, finished his week with five total points, courtesy of two goals and an assist. Both goals proved to be game-winners, as the Blue Devils defeated Princeton and Virginia in the span of five days.
Bjornsson logged the first goal of his Duke career during Duke's 2-0 victory at Princeton. The freshman was on the receiving end of a Cameron Kerr cross, heading the ball into the back of the net in the 50th minute.
