CARY, N.C. – The qualifying round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American opened on Monday at the Cary Tennis Park. Duke's doubles duo of and won a pair of matches to advance to the round of 16.
Beck and Morra opened play on Monday afternoon with an 8-5 win over Xinyu Cai and Taylor Cataldi of Wisconsin. The Blue Devils then collected an 8-2 win over Snow Han and Nathalie Rodilosso of Southern California. Beck/Morra will next face Miska Kadleckova and Ange Oby Kajura of Iowa State at 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday afternoon.
Duke's duo of and dropped their first doubles match, 8-5, to Clarissa Hand and Maria Shusharina of Northwestern, but responded with an 8-6 victory over Marie Mattel and Nandini Sharma of Central Florida in the consolation round of 32.
