TULSA, Okla. – The Duke women's tennis team continued its success at the 2019 ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) All-American Championships Thursday evening as senior Meible Chi and rookie Chloe Beck advanced to the Sweet 16 in the singles main draw.
Chi, ranked No. 18 by the ITA, defeated No. 51 Martina Kudelova of Florida Atlantic 7-5, 6-4. The victory marks Chi's second ranked singles win during this tournament.
Freshman Beck followed suit and defeated Old Dominion's Holly Hutchinson 0-6, 6-4, 6-2. Despite not winning a single game in the first set, Beck came back strong in the next two to secure her fourth ranked win of the tournament.
