DURHAM, N.C. – After recording a personal-best 5K time of 16:53.0 last weekend at the Panorama Farms Invitational in Earlysville, Va., senior Amanda Beach of the Duke cross country team was selected the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week.
Beach, a native of Melbourne, Fla., finished first among the field of 33 runners with senior Michaela Reinhart (16:53.9) and sophomore Samantha Schadler (17:01.5) logging PR's and finishing second and third, respectively.
The sweep helped the Blue Devils earn a first-place team result for the first time in the 2020 campaign.
