DURHAM, N.C. – With the 2019 season less than two weeks away, the Duke baseball program held its seventh annual First Pitch Banquet Saturday evening in the Blue Devil Tower to welcome the upcoming campaign.
The event included a record-number of guests, including a sellout crowd and over 50 Duke baseball alumni. The night began with a cocktail reception and a silent auction, which lasted for roughly an hour, with the dinner and program following shortly after. Head coach Chris Pollard honored the 2018 Duke baseball squad for their historic season, which was highlighted by the school’s first-ever Super Regional appearance.
