ATLANTA – After Friday’s game was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning, Duke and No. 21 Georgia Tech returned to Russ Chandler Stadium to complete the contest Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils and the Yellow Jackets began the day tied 2-2 before Georgia Tech scored a lone run in the eighth to secure a 3-2 victory.
When play resumed Saturday, sophomore Ryan Day pitched a scoreless bottom of the seventh for Duke (12-14, 2-8 ACC) to keep the game tied.
Georgia Tech (20-5, 6-4 ACC) was able to plate a lone run the following frame.
