GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior middle-distance runner Anima Banks has been tabbed the ACC Women’s Outdoor Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday. Banks also earned the accolade once during the indoor season after setting the school record in the indoor 800.
Competing as Duke’s lone representative against some of the top collegiate and professional runners at the Payton Jordan Invitational Sunday in Stanford, Calif., Banks placed third in her section of the women’s 800 with a time of 2:04.38, an outdoor personal best and No. 3 in the Duke outdoor records book.
