Balogun Tabbed USBWA National Player Of The Week

DURHAM – Senior Elizabeth Balogun has been tabbed the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) after averaging 18.0 points on 67 percent shooting, 8.5 boards and 2.0 blocks in wins over NC State and Louisville.

Balogun netted 16 points on a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds to help Duke take down then-No. 6 NC State, 72-58, on the road, then followed that up with a 20 point, 10 rebound performance in the seven-point win against Louisville.

Balogun's double-double was the fourth of her career and first since the 2019-20 season, when she totaled 12 points and 10 boards as a member of the Cardinals against Oklahoma State.
