Atkinson to Compete in Jamaican Olympic Trials

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track & field graduate student Connor Atkinson is set to take part in the Jamaican Olympic Trials beginning Thursday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Atkinson will compete in the 400m hurdles of the Jamaican Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Senior Championships, with opening heats scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET, on Thursday. Should Atkinson advance, he would compete in the final heat on Friday at 8:15 p.m. ET.

2020 was a breakout season for the Ashburn, Va., native, who won a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the ACC Outdoor Championships to take home All-ACC First Team honors.
