Arizona, Cincinnati Appear To Have Made Highly Promising Coaching Hires

Two coaching searches that might have gone off the rails seem to have worked out fairly well.

Arizona hired Tommy Lloyd, a Mark Few assistant at Gonzaga. The notion drew a lot of scorn from players from the Lute Olson and Sean Miller era so one of Lloyd’s first decisions will be how to handle that. If he wins, that’ll resolve itself. And he seems poised to succeed.

The other job is closer to home as Wes Miller took the Cincinnati job.

That job opened when A.D. John Cunningham fired former coach John Brannen without really explaining why.
