Apparently his grades were an issue and it wasn’t going to be easy for him to get into college so in his case, it could be a solid decision.
However, being a teenager overseas won’t be easy and playing against grown men is going to be an eye opening experience. Then there’s the question of language - most American kids don’t speak Italian so until he can get up to speed he’ll have to rely on translators or the kindness of strangers.
