DURHAM, N.C. – After receiving 2019 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large recognition last month, Blue Devil swimmer Hunter Aitchison was named to the Academic All-America Women’s At-Large third team Friday.
With the honor, Aitchison became the third Academic All-American in women’s program history, joining former Blue Devils Katie Ness (ESPN - 2006) and Jessica Lyden (CoSIDA - 2012).
The at-large teams for the Google Cloud Academic All-America program include the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming & diving, tennis and water polo for both men and women, as well as beach volleyball, bowling, field hockey and rowing for women, and volleyball and wrestling for men.
