Georgia Tech hosted Elon Monday night - not Sunday as we mistakenly stated on Sunday, having been deceived by the holiday - and won without too much trouble. They have a major concern though:
Point guard Jose Alvarado, who is as close as they get to an indispensable man, is in a boot. No word on when he might be back.
Tech obviously missed him, scoring only 64 points against a relatively manageable opponent.
Fortunately defense, lately the Yellow Jacket’s strength, limited the Phoenix to 41 points.
Bubba Parham, a transfer from VMI who was expected to add offense, hasn’t done it yet: he has six points in his first two games, including this one where he started in place of Alvarado.
