In Saturday’s ACC action, Virginia beat Columbia 62-40, NC State took out St. Francis of Brooklyn 95-64, Virginia Tech knocked off Lehigh 79-53, Miami had little trouble with Quinnipiac rolling to an 80-52 victory, Syracuse sent Seattle back West with a loss 89-67 and Rick Byrd or no Rick Byrd, Belmont is apparently still Belmont, having beaten BC 100-85 in the 8,606 Silvio Conte Study Hall & Convocation Center.
Belmont hit 15-26 from deep for nearly half their points and Adam Kunkel went off for 30 against BC’s backcourt which had to make former Blue Devil Derryck Thornton a little, well, blue, what with him supposedly a good defender and all.
