John Swofford has generally gotten positive reviews for how he has taken the ACC through expansion and realignment and all the rest. Not universal praise obviously but mostly positive.
We never really thought much about how he was perceived by Clemson folk but if this article is indicative, not very well.
Apparently the idea that Notre Dame might be allowed to compete in the conference for this season isn’t going over too well in Tiger Town: “We all know other than UNC and Duke, Swofford has never cared about the ACC in general. Everything he has done over his two decades of service has benefitted the UNC and Duke Basketball programs and not much of anything else.
