CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 14 Duke claimed gold in the Second Varsity Four and the Blue Devils finished third in the team standings as competition at the ACC Rowing Championship wrapped up Saturday at Lake Hartwell.
With a winning time of 7:11.587, the 2V4 earned the second gold medal in program history after the Varsity Four did so in 2019. Coxed by freshman Audrey Kline, the crew of Rivca Chaver (stroke), Sydney Cikovic, Shae Simpson and Noelle Fuchs shot out to a narrow lead at the halfway point and then pulled away in the final 1,000 meters, beating out Virginia by 4.
