DURHAM, N.C. – After helping the Duke rowing team capture its third consecutive Carolina Cup on Saturday, the Blue Devils’ 2V4 earned ACC Crew of the Week accolades.
The boat, with Sarah Royka (Cox), Kiernan Spencer (Stroke), Amelia Johnson, Maya Blake and Amelia Shunk (Bow), clocked a first-place time of 7:58.2, 21 seconds faster than second-place North Carolina. The 2V4 was one of five first for the Blue Devils, as they totaled 90 points to take home the Daughtry Cup for the third straight season.
