The Duke basketball recruiting train continued rolling on Friday with a commitment from Harry Giles, the No. 1 ranked player in the class of 2016.
Giles made his announcement on Friday afternoon on ESPN.
He chose the Blue Devils over three other finalists – Kentucky, Kansas, and Wake Forest.
It’s been a tough week for the 6’10”, 230-pound forward from Winston-Salem, NC, who suffered a season ending knee injury (torn ACL) on Tuesday night in the opening minutes of his season opener for Oak Hill Academy.
Giles injured his left knee in 2013, which caused him to miss his entire sophomore season, and now he’ll have to go through the rehabilitation process with his right knee.
