DURHAM, N.C. -- Junior forward Alison Sanders scored two goals as the 17th-ranked Duke women's soccer made first-year head coach Robbie Church's debut a successful one with a 3-0 shutout victory over visiting Davidson College in the season opener for both teams on August 31, 2001 at Koskinen Stadium.
Sanders put the Blue Devils ahead 1-0 with an unassisted goal at the 21:45 mark of the opening half.
