DURHAM, N.C. – Duke baseball head coach Chris Pollard netted his 600th career win as sophomore Joey Loperfido’s walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning delivered junior Matt Mervis with the game-winning run to lead the Duke baseball team a 10-9 victory and weekend sweep of Pittsburgh on Sunday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
“I’m really honored,” said Pollard. “I’ve been around a lot of really good coaches and a lot of really good players—they deserve the credit. I’m really lucky.
