ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second time this season, senior James Wypych (Wellington, New Zealand) of the Drake University men's soccer team has been selected as the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week, presented by Eagle Bank and Trust Company of Missouri, Commissioner Doug Elgin announced Tuesday Oct. 25. Wypych was honored for his performances during the period of October 17-23.
Wypych recorded a hat trick in Drake's 4-3 loss to Evansville Saturday night. He scored the first goal for Drake and his fourth goal this season in the second minute of the game off of an assist from freshman Antonio Sanchez.
