DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake women's volleyball team has made an addition to their program, the team announced today. Former MVC competitor Addison Barnes has been hired as an assistant coach, starting immediately.
"I am very excited to have Addison joining our staff." Drake head coach Darrin McBroom said. "She has an accomplished background in Division I volleyball having played at Loyola Chicago for five seasons. In 2019, when Loyola was a member of the Valley, she was named Freshmen of the Year. In addition to having played D-I volleyball, she did so at a private, higher-academic institution…which gives her a similar background and experience to that which our current student-athletes are experiencing.
