MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Drake University women's tennis team heads to Minneapolis, Minn. Sept. 20-23 for its second tournament, the Gopher Invitational, of the fall season.
The invitational field is made up of eight teams, including Minnesota, Iowa State, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Arkansas and UNI.
Drake will begin play Thursday at 6 p.m. when Daria Walczak and Carmen Palumbo take on Savannah Williams and Caroline Gibbens of Iowa State in the Flight C Doubles bracket. Palumbo is hot off of a second place finish in the Flight A Singles division at last week's Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
