MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Drake University women's tennis team split a pair of non-conference matches in the Twin Cities this weekend. The Bulldogs started the trip with a 6-1 victory over St. Thomas on Saturday, Feb. 11. Drake's winning streak was then halted at two matches when Minnesota upended the Bulldogs 4-2 on Sunday, Feb. 12.
In the weekend debut, St. Thomas earned a doubles point to start the day. The duo of Darinka Stepan and Mille Haagensen picked up Drake's only doubles win over the Tommies.
Drake proceeded to roll through singles play, sweeping all six matches.
