LINCOLN, Neb. – The Drake University women's tennis team overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat Colorado State, 4-3 on Saturday at the Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb.
"This was a great win for us. We knew it was going to be a competitive match with Colorado State. The girls played with so much grit," said Drake head coach Mai-Ly Tran.
The Rams came out of the gates strong, winning No. 2 double 6-1. Summer Brills and Joely Lomas' 6-2 win at No. 1 put the Bulldogs in good position to earn the doubles point.
