DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 loss to visiting Missouri State Sunday afternoon at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
The loss was the Bulldogs' first Missouri Valley Conference loss of the season as Missouri State sealed the match with Fati Khamissi's win at No. 3 singles. The Bulldogs won two matches after the match had been decided to tighten the score.
After winning the doubles' point, MSU secured straight-set wins at Nos. 6 and 5 singles before Liza Petuskova earned a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles to get the Bulldogs on the board.
