DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team improved to 2-1 in its last three matches with a 7-0 shutout of UNI (3-10, 0-2). The Bulldogs (6-9, 2-1) controlled the day from the first serve in their first home match in almost a month.
Every match counted for a point on Friday, and the Bulldogs won them all. Drake's domination started in doubles play as the duos of Ines Stephani/Mille Haagensen and Rebecca Ehn/Darinka Stepan won handily.
All five singles bouts were over in two sets.
