The Drake women's soccer team tied Evansville, 1-1, in double-overtime Saturday afternoon in its first conference game.
The Bulldogs (5-3-3) maintained posession for most of the match and outshot the Aces (5-1-3) 21-10.
In the 27th minute, the Aces received a penalty kick. Abby Phelps attempted the shot, but Drake Keeper Kelsie Stone punched it away.
Stone, who was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, faced 10 shots and recorded four saves in her 110 minutes in the net.
Avery Mertz, Libby Helverson, and Rachel Panther registered shots early in the first half, but all ended off-target.
