BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State Jackrabbits handed the Drake University women's soccer team its first loss of the 2016 season by a score of 3-0 on Sunday, Sept. 18 afternoon at Fishback Soccer Park.
Drake dropped to 7-1-1 with the road loss while South Dakota State improved to 5-4-1 with the home win. The Bulldogs' undefeated eight-game start to the season came to an end with the shutout. The impressive start is one of the best in Missouri Valley Conference history with only two other teams in the league having better starts to a season.
