DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's soccer team hosts UNI on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in a key in-state Missouri Valley Conference match. Following Tuesday's match, Drake visits Evansville on Oct. 21 for a 2:30 p.m. game.
The midweek contest features two of the top teams in the MVC. Drake (9-3-1, 2-0-0 MVC) is second in the league standings behind Loyola while UNI (10-2-1, 2-1-0 MVC) is in third place.
Drake is coming off a 3-0 victory over Indiana State on Saturday in its lone action last week. The win was well deserved for the Bulldogs as the match was initially played Friday night but was postponed just 18 minutes in due to an unplayable field at Cownie after heavy rains and lightning hit the Des Moines area.
