DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's soccer team held the Minnesota Gophers scoreless for a 0-0 draw, that was played in three, 30-minute periods on Saturday evening at the Cownie Soccer Complex in the Bulldogs' final exhibition game.
"We spent a large portion of the game on defense, but I think we did a really good job if one person got beat everyone else recovered for them. I thought we were organized and were hard to break down," said Drake head coach Lindsey Horner. "Overall, we got better as the game wore on and gained valuable game fitness.
