DES MOINES, Iowa – No. 16 Wisconsin defeated the Drake University women's soccer team, 3-0, on Thursday night at the Cownie Soccer Complex.
"Wisconsin was dynamic in the attack and have some difference makers in midfield that presented a challenge for us tonight," said head coach Lindsey Horner. "Different then in our draw against them last year, we had some obvious goal scoring chances. While we all hate losing, especially at home, I believe tonight will make us better."
Wisconsin (6-1) scored its first goal in the 14th minute (14:50) as Dani Rhodes took a pass from Victoria Picketts and beat Drake (3-3) goalkeeper Haley Morris (Clive, Iowa).
