BETTENDORF, Iowa – The Drake University women's soccer team fell, 1-0, in a closely-contested match against the Illinois State Redbirds on Friday afternoon at TBK Bank Sports Complex. The result snapped the Bulldogs' four-game win streak and run of four-straight clean sheets.
Kate Del Fava scored the game-winning goal for the Redbirds in the 44 minute, ending Drake's shutout streak at 465 minutes and 52 seconds.
The Bulldogs (7-9-1, 4-3-0 MVC) finish the regular season fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference standings, and they will host a first-round tournament game at a time and location to be determined.
