Seniors Rebecca Rodgers (Peotone, Ill.) and Ali Smith (Lenexa, Kan.) of the Drake University women's soccer team were named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Midwest Region Teams, the USC announced Tuesday, Nov. 28 evening. Rodgers was named to the second team while Smith was selected to the third team.
Rodgers, a forward, was the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year award. She is just the fourth player in MVC history to be named Player of the Year twice after previously being named MVC Player of the Year in 2015.
