ST. LOUIS – Seniors Kayla Armstrong (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) and Brooke Dennis (Wauconda, Ill.) of the Drake University women's soccer team were tabbed the Missouri Valley Conference Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Armstrong had quite the week for Drake helping lead the Bulldogs to wins over Iowa State and Missouri State. She scored the golden goal in the second overtime session to beat the Cyclones, 1-0 and followed that performance on Saturday against Missouri State by recording a hat trick in the 3-1 win over the Bears.
