OMAHA, Neb. – The Drake University women's soccer team battled its former Missouri Valley Conference rival, Creighton, to a 2-2 draw Wednesday night in an exhibition contest at Morrison Stadium in Omaha. Sophomores Hannah Bormann (Amana, Iowa) and Olivia Bruce (Lakeville, Minn.) each scored goals for Drake, which rallied from a 2-1 deficit, to earn the draw. The teams played three thirty-minute periods followed by a practice penalty kick situation Wednesday in their first respective preseason match.
Bormann wasted little time getting the Bulldogs on the scoreboard as the 2017 MVC Freshman of the Year scored at 1:26 mark of the opening quarter.
