The Drake University women's golf team began its fall season with a sixth-place finish at the Redbird Invitational Sept. 5-6 at Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Ill.
The Bulldogs recorded a team score of 302 in the final round to hold their position in the 16-team field.
Kristen Giles carded the team's low round of the day at 1-over par 73 in a round that included three birdies. Aayushi Sarkar finished just behind Giles on the day with a 75.
Over the three-round event Drake's lineup all finished within 11 strokes of each other and just three strokes separated the team's top four scorers.
