OMAHA, Neb. - The Drake University women's golf team improved by two strokes, but fell one spot on the leaderboard during the final day of the 36-hole Creighton Classic. The Bulldogs finished with a 307 Tuesday to complete the two-day event at 309-307 – 616.
The Bulldogs finished three strokes behind second-place South Dakota, who had the best score of the second day at 302. UNI won the event at 297-305 – 602.
Sigurlaug Jonsdottir (Hafnarfjordur, Iceland) led the Bulldogs for the second-straight day to post a 37-37 – 74. Jonsdottir had two birdies on the front nine and played a flawless back nine to finish the event tied for fourth at 76-74 – 150.
