Normal, Ill. – The Drake University women's golf team finished the Redbird Invitational in ninth place on Monday, Sept. 9.
The Bulldogs fired a final-round 305 to finish with a 54-hole total of 902 (298-299-305). Drake was surrounded in the standings by three MVC rivals. Southern Illinois and Illinois State finished in seventh and eighth, respectively, and Indiana State finished nine strokes behind the Bulldogs in 10th place. Xavier finished in first place with a final total of 885, which is the second-lowest 54-hole total in tournament history.
Sophomore Haeri Lee finished with a 54-hole total of 217 (70-73-74), which was good for third place, just two strokes behind the top finisher Caroline Klemp of Northern Illinois.
