The Drake University women's golf team took first place in the Loyola Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The win is the first time the Bulldogs have finished in first place at an event since the UNI Invitational last spring.
Drake finished with a 54-hole score of 925 (310-307-308) to hold off South Dakota, who finished six strokes behind the Bulldogs, and host team Loyola who finished 12 strokes back after a tournament-low 301 in the final round. The win is Drake's 11th top-10 finish in their last 12 events going back to April of 2018.
Sophomore Haeri Lee continued her hot start to the Fall season with a second-place finish to lead the Bulldogs.
