LOUIS – The Drake University women's basketball has a league-high five student-athletes named to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete teams and has the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Sara Rhine (Eldon, Mo.), the MVC office announced Tuesday, March 6. Rhine is just the second MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in school history and the first since 2008.
Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) and Rhine were each selected to the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team while Maddy Dean (Jordan, Minn.) was voted to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team.
