CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Drake University women's basketball team closes out the month of January on Friday evening when it plays at UNI in the McLeod Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the in-state game broadcast on The Valley on ESPN3 and on the radio on 1350 ESPN Des Moines.
For just the second time in Missouri Valley Conference history, a pair of teams have started Valley play 8-0, as Drake (15-4, 8-0 MVC) and UNI (15-4, 8-0 MVC) are the two hottest teams in the conference. The Bulldogs have won nine-straight games while the Panthers are riding an 11-game winning streak.
