LINCOLN, Neb. – The Drake University women's basketball team rallied past Nebraska, 84-70, Tuesday, Dec. 6 night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Senior Lizzy Wendell (Blue Springs, Mo.) paced Drake (4-3) with a team-high 18 points. Wendell eclipsed 2,000 points in the road win and is the just the fourth Bulldog to reach the impressive scoring mark. Overall, she filled the stat sheet with six rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Joining Wendell in double-figures was senior Caitlin Ingle (Runnells, Iowa) who recorded her 13 career points/assists double-double with 13 points and 13 assists.
