EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Drake University women's basketball team cruised past Evansville, 101-50, Friday night in Missouri Valley Conference action at the Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
Drake (17-7, 12-0 MVC) scored the first seven points of the contest, made 12-of-15 shots in the opening period and led 29-9 after one quarter. Sara Rhine (Eldon, Mo.) with eight points and Nicole Miller (Walker, Iowa) with seven points helped the Bulldogs' bench score 15 points in the opening period. Senior Paige Greiner (Williamsburg, Iowa), who made her first career start, added five points.
