RENO, NEV. -- The Drake University women's basketball team conquered San Francisco, 84-60, Saturday evening at the Nugget Classic presented by the University of Nevada.
The Bulldogs shot a season high of 87 percent from the free throw line against San Francisco.
Drake took the early lead after junior Megan Meyer hit a three 34 seconds into the game. The Bulldogs then went on a 5-0 run after the Dons score a field goal. Drake finished out the first quarter leading by 14.
Meyer finished with a career high 15 points. She added three rebounds and one steal to the books.
